For many years, Fontes Archaeologici Posnanienses has remained faithful to its founder’s vision, bringing to the archaeological community numerous valuable source publications, which have been used by subsequent generations of scholars. Over time, the original formula of the journal has been enriched with new content associated with the broadening scope of research interests of the Archaeological Museum in Poznań.
However, still, our main goal is to introduce new collections of archaeological sources from Greater Poland and the neighbouring regions of the Central European Lowlands into scholarly circulation.
We are also interested in publishing articles that are part of the current archaeological debates and studies related to the broadly understood prehistory and early history of Europe.
In addition, FAP prints annual reports on the activity of the Archaeological Museum in Poznań.
The basic (original) version of FAP is the printed edition.
